Unique Locking 3.5mm Connector That Also Supports Non-locking 3.5mm Jacks
Product Descriptions
The Dual-Head W.Lav Pro was designed to deliver a unique set of features that benefit folks looking for more. It also you to capture an AB stereo image by simplying clipping them around a subject. Mount them either side to a pair of glasses above and record a mock binaural setup. Split them apart and mic up two people for an interview or mobile podcast.
And all the while it delivers the same great sound quality that the WLP is known for. This time around the 3.5mm jack has been improved so it can be plugged into both non-locking and locking connectors. So if you have a non-locking stereo mic input on device, the Dual-Headed WLP is compatible.
This with the PR-2 is probably the best quality / budget solution on the market...
The PR-2 and WLav Pro combo is honestly impressive. My wireless mics of choice are the Sony UWP series, for me they just work the best and have the most reliable function / sound. I got lucky and found two PR-2's new in-the-box for $90 each so I snagged them up without question. Upon testing them for myself, I was thoroughly impressed at the sound quality. Deity has designed a lavalier that doesn't need much bias power to sound great. It's small and easy to hide and it has a nice sound quality to it that is only rivalled by microphones 3-4x it's price. I have tried the Wlav Pro on the PR-2, on my Sony UWP's, and on some Sennheiser G3's. In each case they sounded better than my Countryman B3 or B6's. The B3/B6 sounds fine once you EQ them, but the Wlav Pro sounds good out of the box. Go find yourself some of the stick-on mounts shown in my pictures, you can find them on eBay if you search Wlav Pro. They stick on with Ursa, Rycote, or Copkim stickies and they work quite well for very little money.
Honestly if you have a couple PR-2's, a Deity S-mic 3 with the Deity Shockmount and a Radius Alto Blimp, you've got everything you need to get good quality production sound. Work on your booming techniques and your lavalier hiding techniques, and you'll be golden.
